Speaker: Thor Jonsson (Rave DJ)

Abstract: In this talk I will introduce Rave DJ. Rave DJ is an autonoumous software that allows anyone to mix and mash-up music through the
website http://www.rave.dj/. I will give some fun examples and explain how we can apply techniques from combinatorial optimization in tandem with deep neural networks to create autonomous DJs. I will describe the difference between these optimization methods and highlight some interesting research and engineering problems that arise in this context. I will also briefly explain the business model behind the company and tell you a little bit about our recent work as a consulting group.
